Challenge

Submicron particulate in exhaust ductwork caused accumulation, fouling risk, and volatilized hotspots. Production could not tolerate extended shutdowns for trial-and-error duct changes.

Approach

PE-led airflow assessment tied observed stack and duct behavior to separation options. SIEC specified and integrated a low-capex gas/liquid separator with demister pad upstream of existing exhaust, phased during operating windows.

Results

45% mass removal in the targeted exhaust stream; 85% reduction in duct buildup; 15% reduction in compliance-related downtime. Fire-hazard and hotspot risk eliminated without production halts.

Results vary by facility, baseline, and scope. SIEC documents assumptions and measurement approach for every engagement.
