Constraint

Submicron particulate and solvent load stressed exhaust and separation. Adding fan CFM was the default capital path, but capture at the source was weak.

Approach

Mapped sources and duct constraints. Separated capture geometry from true capacity shortfalls. Used CFD where layout options changed capital. Phased mechanical packages into production windows.

Result

Mass removal improved on the agreed measurement path. Fan energy dropped versus the upsizing baseline. Work completed without an extended plant stop.

Verification

Pre and post mass and energy metrics scoped to the exhaust system under review.

What we would not do

Did not default to fan upsizing before fixing source capture geometry.
